Armenia participated in PISA for the first time in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Level 2 is considered the minimum proficiency threshold. At this level, students can identify the main idea in a text of moderate length, find information based on explicit, though sometimes complex, criteria, and reflect on the purpose and form of texts when explicitly directed to do so.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, almost no students in Armenia reached Level 5 or higher in reading, compared with an OECD average of 6 %. Students performing at these levels can comprehend lengthy texts, deal with abstract or counterintuitive concepts, and distinguish between fact and opinion based on implicit cues related to the content or source of information.<\/p>\n<p>In Armenia, 6 804 students from 293 schools completed the assessment. According to the OECD report, they represented approximately 23 800 15-year-old students, equivalent to around 80 % of the total population of 15-year-olds.<\/p>\n<p>More than 760 000 students participated in the PISA 2025 assessment across 91 countries and economies. Together, they represented around 33 million 15-year-old students enrolled in schools in these countries and economies.<\/p>\n<p>Across the countries and economies participating in PISA 2025, the share of 15-year-old students reaching the minimum proficiency level in reading &#8211; Level 2 or higher &#8211; varied considerably, from 93 % in B-S-J-Z (China) to just 4 % in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Armenia participated in PISA for the first time in 2025.
