The final judicial act in the lawsuit filed by Yerevan State University lecturer Serob Khachatryan and lawyer Arsen Tavadanyan against the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, which was scheduled to be published on September 29, has been postponed by a judge\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n

On September 10, the Court announced<\/a> the conclusion of the examination of the case and informed the parties that the judgment would be published on September 29 on the judicial information website. However, the judgment was not published either on September 29 or on September 30. The decision postponing the publication of the judgment became available today, October 1.<\/p>\n

According to the decision of Judge Vahagn Torosyan, the deadline for publishing the final judicial act in the case has been extended by 15 working days. The new publication date has been set for November 2, 2026, through the official website of the judiciary.<\/p>\n

The Court justified the inability to publish the judgment on September 29 by its workload. According to the decision, following the conclusion of the examination of the case, the Court held previously scheduled hearings throughout the working day, from 9:20 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on September 10, 11, 16, 17, 23 and 24, and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on September 18 and 25, with a total of 101 court hearings.<\/p>\n

During the same period, on September 18, 22 and 28, the Court published 2, 5 and 5 final judicial acts, respectively, in completed civil cases.<\/p>\n

The Court stated that these circumstances, taken cumulatively, resulted in a physical lack of time, making it objectively impossible to prepare and publish the final judicial act in this case on the previously scheduled date of September 29.<\/p>\n

The decision also notes that from October 5 through October 16, inclusive, Judge Vahagn Torosyan, who presides over the case, will be on annual leave and will be relieved of his official duties during that period.
The decision postponing the judgment in the lawsuit concerning the \u201cSocial Studies 8\u201d textbook enters into force upon issuance and is not subject to appeal.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
